Hello, thank you for joining! I am thrilled to begin this blog. It has been in my heart to start a blog for a while, and I would love to offer this space to anyone seeking hope and encouragement. This blog was created to share my personal stories and testimonies, discuss my faith, provide readers with an encouraging message, and offer biblical viewpoints on life. This blog will not only assist me in deepening my personal spiritual growth, but I also hope it will serve as a means to connect with like-minded believers.
Starting with the basics, my name is Sara, and I am 32 years young. I am a wife, a mother to two miracle children, a preschool teacher, and a self-taught makeup artist. Above all, I am a Christian and a proud daughter of God. In Hebrew, the name Sara means Princess. My middle name, Elisabet, translates to God’s Promise; My God is an oath. I have a strong belief in the word of God. As stated in the book of Hebrews 4:12 NLT, it is “alive and powerful.” The Bible tells us that the Lord chooses His children and knows them by name. To anyone reading this, remember that you are special, important, and loved.
But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
To him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.
I was born and raised in Queens, New York. What can I say? Royalty runs in my veins! It's a fact! We can find this truth in 1 Peter 2:9, which states that we are God’s chosen people, royal priests, a holy nation, and His own possession.
I am the daughter of two incredibly hardworking Guatemalan parents who taught me the value of perseverance and faith. I was one of those children who would fall asleep on church benches to the sound of hymns and played the tambourines to Coritos. I am deeply thankful that my parents raised me in the church. Although my parents are not perfect, they guided me in the ways of the Lord, my solid foundation, and for that, I am forever grateful.
I am one of four daughters, and an interesting fact about me is that I have an identical twin! I am thankful for my background, my family, and the path that God continues to shape for me.
Thank you once more for being here; it means a lot to me. You're welcome to leave a comment. I'm eager to share more with you.
Love, Sara.
